King's Kongo Central Partnership Volunteering Opportunities
> COVID-19 Response Volunteer Group. We are providing support to the Kongo Central provincial COVID-19 task force in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are looking for volunteers to support this work remotely, offering technical advice in the development and review of training materials for two key groups: 1) healthcare workers at six COVID-19 treatment sites; and 2) a diabetes patient group to become peer educators. > Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. We are recruiting two volunteers to support the Ndola Teaching Hospital orthopaedic department with the development of their orthopaedic hip replacement service. This will include looking at practices within the orthopaedic operating theatre, support with raising funds to provide laminar air flow, provision of a training course, and development of personal mentoring to allow discussion of specific cases. A trip to Ndola for further mentoring is anticipated, once travel is possible.Deadline for applications is 30th April 2021.Read more and find out how to apply >

> Speech and Language Therapist. We are recruiting a volunteer to support our Stroke in Sierra Leone (SISLE) project from May 2021. SISLE is conducting a multidisciplinary research programme aimed at improving outcomes for stroke patients in Sierra Leone within 5 years. > IPC and COVID-19 Response Volunteer Group.We are providing support to Hargeisa Group Hospital (HGH) in their COVID-19 response. We are looking for volunteers to support this work remotely, offering technical advice to HGH, and to develop and implement an Infection Prevention Control programme to reduce transmission and implement effective COVID-19 triage.
